Legacy Trail, Everglades Holiday Park, Wekiva Parkway Among Engineering Projects Honored

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 15, 2022) – The Everglades Holiday Park, Legacy Trail Extension Design in Sarasota County, I-4 Ultimate Improvement Project and Wekiva Parkway Section 6 are among 11 engineering projects that will soon be honored with the ACEC Florida Engineering Excellence Award.

Each year, the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Florida recognizes the outstanding contributions of consulting engineering professionals through a comprehensive evaluation of projects by a distinguished panel of experts in related fields.

For 2023, four engineering firms garnered Grand Awards, and seven secured the Honor Award. One of the top four Grand Award winners will receive the ACEC Florida Grand Conceptor Award, and all four will have the opportunity to enter the national ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards.

“Engineers are behind the everyday and the extraordinary, and the ACEC Florida Engineering Excellence Award is an opportunity to honor the amazing work they do to help ensure Florida remains a top state to live, work and raise a family,” said Allen Douglas, Executive Director, American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida.
