TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (December 11, 2023) – With more than 1,000 new residents moving to Florida every day, ensuring that Florida’s infrastructure is prepared to meet our growing population is vital. Florida’s consulting engineering professionals are playing a leading role in that effort, and 14 of Florida’s top infrastructure projects are being honored for their engineering excellence by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Florida.

“Engineers are behind the everyday and the extraordinary, and the ACEC Florida Engineering Excellence Award is an opportunity to honor the amazing work they do to help ensure Florida remains a top state to live, work and raise a family,” said Allen Douglas, Executive Director, American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida.

Seven Florida engineering firms garnered Grand Awards, six were named Honor Winners, and one received an Honorable Mention. Of particular note, one of the top seven Grand Award winners will soon receive the Florida Grand Conceptor Award, and all seven Grand Award winners will have the opportunity to enter the national ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards competition which honors projects worldwide.
