PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Tom Hayden, PE
President, ACEC Florida
Tom Hayden is Principal / Senior Geotechnical Engineer for Environmental and Geotechnical Specialists, Inc. (EGS). He resides in Tallahassee, and his focus is to manage engineering operations and design teams for EGS, focusing on major FDOT, FAA, and Municipality Projects throughout the State of Florida.
Tom comes from a family of Civil Engineers, including his mother, father, sister, and wife. He is committed to giving back to the profession and has been very active with the American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida (ACEC Florida), the Florida Engineering Society (FES), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the American Public Works Association (APWA) since he began his career. Tom was a graduate of the Class of 2009 Florida Engineering Leadership Institute (FELI) and was the President of the American Society of Civil Engineers Florida Section in 2013. He plans to use the experience he’s gained from past leadership roles to maintain and advance ACEC Florida’s mission and vision.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida.
