Richard G. Acree, P.E.
President, ACEC Florida
Rick is currently a Vice President at Terracon and the Director of Transportation and Infrastructure for the Florida Division. He has over 30 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer and has worked on hundreds of local municipalities, FDOT, private sector and commercial projects throughout Florida.
Rick was active with the Geotechnical and Materials Engineering Committee (GMEC) from 2008 to 2013 and served as the GMEC Director which represents the geotechnical and material testing industry on the ACEC Florida Board. He has been active with the ACEC Florida Transportation Committee since 2002 and was a member of the DBE/MBE subcommittee. Rick is proud to be in the inaugural class of the Florida Engineering Leadership Institute (FELI) in 2003.
Rick was honored to receive the Engineer of the Year – Leadership Excellence in Engineering Award at the Central Florida Engineers Week Banquet in 2007, the 2021 FES Engineer of the Year Award, and the 2024 Larry Madrid GMEC Award.
