Florida Professional Engineers Secure Top Industry Honors, and Chance to Compete at National Level

Wekiva Parkway Section 8 Interchange Design-Build, Bartow Executive Airport Digital ATC Tower, SR 429 Widening & Systemwide Flex Lanes, Fort Family Regional Park are Among Honorees

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (December 15, 2025) – As Florida’s population continues to grow, the state’s professional engineering community is stepping up to ensure Florida’s infrastructure is prepared to meet the demand.

Top innovations designed by Florida’s professional engineers will soon be recognized with the state’s leading industry award, the Engineering Excellence Award by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida (ACEC Florida).

“Florida’s professional engineering community are among the finest in the country, and we’re proud to recognize their extraordinary contributions and innovations,” said Richard Acree, P.E., President of ACEC Florida. “The business of engineering is delivering through design build projects that are enhancing the lives of Floridians.”

In total, 14 engineering companies are slated to be honored during a February 13, 2026, banquet. Seven Florida engineering firms garnered Grand Awards, and seven have been named Honor Winners. One of the Grand Award winners will be named the Florida Grand Conceptor Award winner, and all Grand Award Winners will be eligible to compete for the national Grand Conceptor title.
